Find out about Part L and Passive House

If you are involved in building, specifying, planning, designing or running the structures that people call home, then the ongoing changes in the Building Regulations Part L (Energy Use in Buildings) will have a significant impact on the way you operate.

Major changes were made to Part L of the Building Regulations for homes in 2008, and even more stringent requirements were introduced in 2011. Further changes are now set to be introduced with another revision due in 2019 and the introduction of the NZEB standard.

You may also need to know more about the Passive house movement, and how to build or calculate to the Passive House standard.

Community Groups - information evenings

Greenbuild can offer training to individuals or groups on airtightness, green building considerations, domestic energy awareness and other related subjects.

We also give talks to interested community groups on energy conservation in the home, and what grants are available for home energy upgrades. This is at no fee if it is within a relatively short radius of Gorey/Arklow.

Feel free to give us a call on Tel: 087 2521032 to discuss your training requirements.
